In 1882, a salesman named Paddy O’Flaherty joins Cork Distilleries Co. as a commercial traveller. Famed throughout his native county Cork for buying rounds of his favourite tipple, he became so synonymous with the whiskey he sold, that in 1913 the distillery owners paid him the ultimate tribute by renaming the whiskey ‘Paddy’ in his honour.
Each component contributes subtle flavourings to achieve a uniquely smooth result:
The grain offers a light, floral touch of crisp sweetness.
The malt augments the sweetness, with a slight note of toasted biscuit.
The pot-still brings the traditional Irish creaminess to life, combined with a hint of spice, honey, and vanilla.
Triple distilled through a blend of pot still, grain and malt whiskey, give Paddy a soft and crisp taste, with a distinct light nutty malty and charred wood character, which is complemented by a sweet finish that gently fades.
